Wishing for the sky...

I got a new layout! I was still pretty much in love with the other one, but it started giving me quite a few problems...Anyway the credit for the new one gos to [info]introject .

Going to work now...I'm even Halloween-themed tonight :)

Aww, CL sometimes you make me so happy

I must say that I'm actually surprised by last night's result -especially if you think how it started out-, but really who I am to complain about unexpected good footie-news!?
A.C. Milan: I'm still not happy with you, but the irrational love I have for you is not going anywhere anytime soon ^^

Hey everyone! got back from Paris (no, I actually got back Monday night, but I'm a pathological procrastinator...so here I am...now!) Paris was lovely and cold as always, but I enjoyed myself so much!!!

The figure skating was awesome! So sad I didn't manage one single decent picture of the action, though :(...Moreover, my brain is so irrational, lo: if it likes the music, then I'm sold. I should start working on my logical thinking abilities...I haven't checked the pics  took around the city, i just hope they won't be all blurry and messy...and I took so many at the Père Lachaise I should make a post all about graveyards' architecture ;)

I applied for a spot as spokesperson for the local health care service center and I really need to start studying, 'cause most of the exam will be about the health care system legislation, which I know absolutely nothing about...This is really just going to be a wild try, but if for some reason I manage to get this job, then I'll be able to make a name for myself and then...possibilities! But for now it'll be looong hours of extremely boring studying...

Shaving

Pilates again...it feels so good...

I finally started my gym routine again; it feels so good to be stretching and bending and pretzling myself! It makes me feel so much more at peace with the whole world, which is quite the accomplishment since I'm pretty much always quite the nervous, twitchy one :)...I'll take pilates lessons twice a week like last year and I'll try to be good and go doing some jogging...and I'm promising myself over and over that this year I'll actually be very good and go swimming at least twice a week, but I don't wanna take classes and I'll probably have to try and fit between courses and such. I'm sure I'll work out something...

And I'm very very happy, 'cause next week I'm going with my boss to Marseille to attend the meeting I organized -after much swearing and sweating, gods, I can't get along with French people-. It'll be the usual bank merging crap, I can't give a heck about, but I've never been to Marseille and I really hope I'll manage to get some tourist time in *crosses fingers*...I'm still pissed that I had to cut my working hours, but if they keep asking me to tag along for the trips, well  can try and be less pissed...moreover transfers are paid almost twice as much *grins*

Begging for a favor f-list...does anyone know if there's a streaming channel for BBC one? I checked the ones my brother and I usually use, but no luck...and yes I'm trying t catch some season 2 Merlin without waiting for Italian tv.

Thankies thankies!

Agenda

Many thanks to the gods for allowing informal clothing at work...I'm so sleep deprived ('cause I'm a jerk and forgot I have to hand in a pretty long pretty complicated essay within next Monday) and my back is hurting so much I'm pretty sure my spine is trying to crumble, that I wouldn't have managed anything more sophisticated that what I came up with this morning: jeans, white converse, a white and red Placebo t-shirt (with pretty lewd lyrics on it) and a keffiyeh wore as scarf...They only preyed for me not to start throwing Molotovs...and they think they're funny people *sighs*
I need more coffee *snores*

My dreams keep being very very weird and they keep freaking me out whenever I remind 'em...I'd be quite happy to live without knowing what my head comes up with at night: this one involved Paris, Colin Morgan and monsters that probably had something to do with me watching "Cloverfield" last night *snorts*

But! We baked, my mum and I! We made a figs' pie -very yummy!- and since my granny gave us tons of figs we baked some figs muffins! And then some with peaches and others with chocolate chips! I think I'll have to get some others silicon ramekins when I'll be in Paris in October; the 12 I have I got 'em from the Habitat shop at Les Halles...
And I found a recipe for blinis!!! Going to bake some as soon as the muffins are finished, 'cause we're stacking quite a lot of sweets right now ;)...and always speaking of food my mum got some must puddings from a friend of hers and I'm extremely grateful, 'cause the last time I had one was sometimes around 2004, the last time my grandmother made 'em! they were my fave September's snacks when I was a child!!!

And I need something to read. I'm tempted to begin the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series and I'd like to know if someone has already read it and if it's worth buying!? I want to read it in English, 'cause the translations in Italian of the names of people and places make me cringe like mad and I'll have to buy it since the only library that lists the series in English is in Bologna and I'm not looking forward a 40 mins train ride...and the Johns Hopkins library is useless when it comes to entertainment literature (not true, sorry bb)

Very depressing weather, too. We had more rain in the last 2 days than we had since May...I'm so not ready for the cold season :(

Got the plane tickets for Paris...I still have to get the ones for the bus from the airport to Porte Maillot, but those are really not worth getting all anxious about. I feel so relieved now that everything's settled :)

And I have a job interview on Wednesday, wish me good luck! They're needing someone for theyr import/export department and ok, it isn't the most exciting job ever, but I want a full time job and this could be just something to do while looking for something I like better...or maybe it would be just my kind of job, who knows!?

*rant begins here*
Ok, the weird thing is that I've never weighted very much -probably 'cause my bones are made of cardboard or something like that-, but since I started working, and then being less at home eating at all times, I dropped other 2 kilos...and i don't feel weak or anything, 'cause I eat regularly and healthily -I know chips aren't healthy, shut up!- , but I swear that if i catch another comment about my wrist, I'm going to get really pissed...bunch of tossers all of them, silly small town idiots who feel entitled to judge everyone on god knows what!
*rant finishes here*

September favorites:

Food: Greek yogurt with Dorset's very nutty muesli;
Drink: Mint iced tea;
Beauty: Jade Green Chanel nail polish - still pondering if I wanna spend 20 euros on a polish that will be already outdated the next fashion season;
Fashion:  leather pants *wants badly*;
Song: Farewell to the Fairground by The White Lies;
Book: The Girl with the dragon Tattoo;
Movie: I'm waiting for Taking Woodstock;
Web: nothing new...

Slippery staircases and high heels!? Not a very lucky match, now I know it and my ass knows it, too since right now my right cheek is a very fetching hue of purple. I felt kinda horribly silly, too, but well...at least there were only like 5 peeps to enjoy the show *snorts*

Not speaking of my bum...my bosses will receive a very nice present from Paris since they gave me days off to go to TEB with [info]thepuzzler and [info]albiondreams !!! And you, too, girls are going to get a lil' present! Just give me a hint about what you'd like to get!

Less exciting, I'm working the whole weekend plus Monday night, I hope I'll survive it...I'm already tired.

OMG! I was busy working so I didn't get to see the match live, but: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!? 0 - 4!? Us being those with 0 goals of course... I'm so ashamed  *weeps*...This season we will suck SO much...

Back to real life :(

First day back at work and OMG, isn't it way too easy to get used to being on holiday and just relaxing!? ;)...I'm quite not too happy about being back at working and studying, but I haven't won the lottery yet, so...

Holidays were great! No one got permanently maimed and we all had fun, ate a lot, visited nice places (I think I'll have to ship my mum back to Passau and have her live there...). I'm tagged in some pics my brother posted on facebook and I'll post some here, too when/if I'll manage to drive my brother away from the other PC -I'm pretty sure hug and petting his hair will have him run for hide in is room...

BUT: ...I still have to make sure if I'll have those days free at one of my jobs, but I'd love to go to Paris for Throphée Bompard in October and I was wondering if someone was interesting in coming, too!? Moreover, flights are pretty cheap right now and I'd <3 it a lot to save some money...
Anyway, let me know...'cause I'm a control freak when it comes to traveling and I like to have things settled ages before the actual date XD

Going to watch some old Merlin episodes, 'cause I just can't wait for season 2 *feels a bit like a 4 years older*

This icom makes me wanna be happy ^^

Sorry mates...it wasn't my intention to disappear, but I have been in a quite foul mood these past weeks and didn't feel very much like being social and all...but I'm officially on holiday 'till next Sunday and just can't wait for Monday and leaving for our lil' family trip, yay!!!

I'm just terribly pissed that somehow, don't ask me how it happened, my account on Youtube got deleted or it just disappeared or whatever and now I'm trying to find the vids  had in my playlists and save 'em  in the new account...the most annoying thing is that it's such a waste of time :(

And THANK YOU so so so much Layla and San for the lovely postcards from
Munich!!! *hugs* Yeah, Milan's poor display was almost laughable *pets the boys* Also, Layla: I'm slow as hell -it took me months to notice-, but I think I got your address wrong...or Dutch postmen hate me!? Can you send it @ my mail or here on LJ with a pm...or a SMS. Whatever you prefer ^^

Now I should go and at least decide what to bring with me on holiday...How's been the weather in Bayern and Baden-Württemberg lately!?

But before I go...
August favourites:

Food: White chocolate and raspberry macarons –thanks little brother <3;

Drink: Cinnamon and orange iced tea;

Beauty: Glamour Herbal Essence Sparks of Light shampoo –I must admit I bought it just ‘cause of the shiny packaging, but it’s actually good for my hair…and it smells like tea and apples!;

Fashion: my new Alladdin-like jeans: pic ;
Book: La petite robe noire by Francoise Sagan;
Movie: haven’t seen anything remarkable lately, mostly old stuff on tv;

Song: Muse’s new single on loop;

It's a cruel cruel world to face on your own...

I still dream to move to a big city and going on with my life in a place where random people would just ignore me and not feel compelled to express judgemets on my decisions, but I'd definitely miss some things of a close knitted community...
...sometimes it amazes me how people -even myself- can still be kind.

Last week I drove Canzio -one of the partners in the insurance agency- home, 'cause his car was to be repaired and today he just brought me a bag full of pears he got from a tree in his brother's garden. they're delicious by the way, I had one with yogurt and some pineapple after lunch...
And yesterday I had my car at a garage to have the tires changed and after work while i was heading out to get it back -by foot and in the heat, there are almost 40 °C here- one of the other partners who was at the office and hadn't to go right then offered to drive me...

The meddling is terribly annoying, but some things are pretty nice...even to an anti-social person such as myself :)

And...thanks [info]estriel !!! the card is lovely lovely lovely!!! And I really hope to get to visit Turkey one day...even if I feel that there's some kind of curse, since every time I tried to organize a trip over there something went wrong and had to give up :P

Wanderlust

Yeah, I get a little crazy with the razor blades...

My head is still wonderfully full of Placebo and I'm being a bit insane about my adoration for Brian Molko's voice...but, most of ll I can't wait for the 14th of August for from that lucky day I'll be a free woman on holiday for a whole week *snorts*, but  used all my holiday days for Japan, so I can't actually complain. Moreover in that week the whole family will go on a road trip through southern Germany, yay yay yay!!!
I'm just  a bit worried about not getting at each other throats, 'cause it has been quite a while since we went on away all together for more than 2 days but well, we'll see...and from th 1st of August I'll have ever single afternoon free *is horribly gleeful*

So, I'm going to apologize now for the butchering of the German language that will be perpetrated by yours truly *head desk*, hopefully no one will expect me to actually remember anything more than swearwords and various ways of saying "I'm terribly drunk"...

Placebo - Villafranca di Verona 18/07/2009

Placebo live in concerts are way much better than whatever you may think! Brian's voice is even better live than listened to on a CD...and, lol, I'm still pretty much overly excited!!!...and the location was awesome; the stage was set in the inner court of a castle and people could just laze around or sunbathe on the grass while waiting for the concert to start, great!

And I'm so happy about the track list, it was the perfect mix of new pieces from Battle for the Sun and tracks from the older albums <3...and since I'm too lazy to post all the pics on LJ, here's the link to Photobucket. Please, tell me shouldn't it work properly.

Tokyo pics - 4th and final part!

Here I am, once again *sings*...This is going to be the last post, at least I hope I can post all the remaining pics in here...

One morning we set our alarms -totally useless- early and go finding the Tsukiji Fish Market and then smell like dead fish for the rest of the day *snorts*...obviously we got lost something like 20 times before finding it and risking our lives dodging those nasty carts the market's workers were driving around like mad people. The market was very impressive, though.

Fishy... )
Ok, that's all! Ice-cream's awaiting me now and then, bed!

I feel like I'll keep posting pics for forever, XD

So, ok...there were some peculiar characters around:

Well, last bunch tomorrow I'd say.
